Ok, now this is absolutely crazy!  Today 1/18/08 the price of lead is up to 37 cents a pound, (give or take, depending on your neighborhood scrap yard) the good battery in this pallet jack weights close to 1,000 lbs. I could scrap the battery and get as much as $380 at the junk yard ...
